Privacy Policy

Visual Stories by Anthony ("I," "me") is a one-person video production, drone, and web development business based in Atascocita, Texas, and operates this website (visualstoriesbyanthony.com). This policy describes what information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have.

Information I collect

• What you send me through a form: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message — typically your project details, timeline, and budget.
• Website usage data from my analytics tools, described in the next section.
• Basic technical data collected automatically by my hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and performance, such as IP address and browser type. I do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Analytics, cookies, and session recording

I use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use this website so I can improve it. Clarity records how visitors interact with the pages — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, which pages are visited, and general device and location information (country/region, not a street address). It also produces anonymized playbacks of those interactions and aggregate heatmaps.

Clarity is configured to mask text that you type. I use this to find confusing layouts and broken pages — not to identify individuals — and I do not combine it with the information you send me through a form. Microsoft may use the data it collects in accordance with its own privacy statement.

I also use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and search terms bring people here. Unlike Clarity, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognize a returning visit. It reports to me in aggregate — visit counts, page popularity, general location, and how people found the site — not as a list of identifiable individuals.

If you'd rather not be included, use a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts, install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or contact me and I'll be glad to help.

What happens when you submit a form

Your inquiry goes into my own customer records system, hosted on Railway, so I can keep track of it and follow up properly. Two things happen automatically at that point, and I'd rather you know about them:

• An AI service (Anthropic) writes a one-line summary of your message so I can see at a glance what you need. Your message is processed to produce that summary; it is not used to train anyone's models.
• I get a text message (via RingCentral) containing your name, contact details, and that summary, so I don't miss a new inquiry while I'm out on a shoot.

A real person — me — reads every inquiry and replies. Nothing about your project is decided by software.

How I use your information

• To reply to you and discuss the work you're asking about.
• To plan, schedule, and deliver a project you hire me for, and to invoice you.
• To keep a record of our correspondence so I have context next time we work together.

What I don't do

• I don't sell your personal information. Ever.
• I don't share it with third parties for their marketing.
• I don't add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.

Footage and photographs

If you hire me, the footage and photographs I capture for your project are covered by our project agreement rather than this policy. I may show finished work in my portfolio, on this site, or on social media — but if you'd prefer your project stay private, tell me and it stays private. For drone work, I hold an FAA Part 107 certificate and fly accordingly; I don't intentionally capture people, license plates, or neighboring interiors.

Who processes your data

I use a small set of service providers to run this website and business: Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Railway (customer records system and database), Anthropic (the AI summary described above), RingCentral (phone and text messaging), Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics (website analytics), Google Workspace (email), and Zoho Books (invoicing and accounting). Each receives only what's needed to do its job.

Retention

I keep inquiries and project records so I have history for repeat clients and so I can meet my tax and accounting obligations. If you'd like your information deleted, email me and I'll remove it, except where I'm required to keep records such as invoices.

Your choices

• Request a copy of the personal information I hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your information.
• Opt out of any non-essential emails.

Children

This website and my services are not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If I update this policy, I'll change the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
